  United States Belize Honduras

Since the days of our American Founder, Mother Frances Xavier Warde, we have practiced the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy among the our neighbors in southeastern New England and Central America.

Through our sponsored institutions and the independent ministries of our sisters and associates, we try as Catherine McAuley did, to respond to those in need with mercy, compassion and practicality.

As Catherine said, "If you really love God, you will prove your love, for the proof of love is in the deed. Love of God and love of neighbor are as cause and effect."

For over 150 years, the members of the Sisters of Mercy Regional Community of Providence have shown love for our neighbors through the work we do.

We invite you to browse through the next few pages that describe our sponsored ministries and our work in the United States, Belize and Honduras.
